Week 4 in Class 5

Posted by on 08/05/2016

This week we have been consolidating our learning on suffixes and we have learnt something new – prefixes! We used the prefix un- to change the meaning of a word. For example, friendly and unfriendly. We have learnt that the prefix changes the root word to mean the opposite.

The whole picture has been revealed this week! The picture is called ‘A Roman Triumph’ and this is what our art will be based on over the next few weeks. We came up with lots of ideas and questions about the painting, and as a class have decided to focus on the elephants in the picture. We will be working on creating our own elephants over the coming weeks.
